What is Cancer?
You may be asking yourself, “What is cancer?” Cancer is not a “disease,” but rather a symptom of an imbalance in your body. We all have cancer cells in our body and every day cells die and get replaced by new cells. When this process goes awry the result is an overgrowth of cells ensuing in cancer. It is when our body has stressed the immune system beyond its natural ability to handle the cancer cells through lifestyle choices that a healthy body is no longer able to ward off these cells. Cancer can be thought of as a chronic disease such as heart disease or hypertension. In order to stay healthy, we must keep our immune system strong with good lifestyle choices.
